Certification's goal
The European Financial Planner® (EFP) is the highest level of certification. It concerns the financial planning activity as a whole.
Outside Europe, this certification is providing under the label International Financial Planner® (IFP) certification. The certificate is adapted to local constraints.

Target audience
That certification offers a training Integrated practice of financial planning including investments at portfolio level, estate planning, international taxation, retirement and insurance needs not only for private clients but also for business owners.

Duration
The educational programs should be covered in a minimum of 21 classroom days or 168 tuition hours (or equivalent), after EFA or IFA certifications.
European Investment Assistant®
& International Investment Assistant®

Certification's goal
The European Investment Assistant® (EIA) certification is designed to meet the requirements set by art. 17 of the Esma Guidelines on knowledge and competences.
Outside Europe, this certification is providing under the label International Investment Assistant® (IIA) certification. The certificate is adapted to local constraints.

Target audience
That certification offers a training for all staff or individual giving information about investment products, investment services or ancillary services.
You are a Willems law certificate holders and you want to enlarge recognizion of your competences over Belgium, please see below to benefit our partnership with Febelfin Academy.

Duration
The training program should be covered in a minimum of 7.5 classroom days or 60 tuition hours (or equivalent).

CPD program
To maintain your certification, EFPA Luxembourg will ask you to follow a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program to update your knowledge. 6 sessions of EFPA CPD, or equivalent, will be required to maintain your certification. These will be offered by EFPA Luxembourg.
Usual schedule
EFPA organizes 2 sessions of European Investment Assistant® (EIA) final exam and 2 sessions of International Investment Assistant® (IIA) final exam every year, in February and June.

EIA & IIA final examination
To allow each professional to validate the training followed and to demonstrate to the competent authorities that he/she has effectively acquired a level of knowledge and competence of excellence, EFPA organizes two session of final exam every year.

The European Investment Assistant® (EIA) and International Investment Assistant® (IIA) final examination consists of a multiple choice test with four possible answers by question and only one correct answer per question.
The rules of these final examination are presented below.

To benefit your EFPA European Investment Assistant® certification, just send your registration form and a copy of your Willems Law certificate to info@efpa.lu. It will open you the doors of the all the EFPA certifications.
EFPA Luxembourg and Febelfin Academy also cooperate in the field of continuing education. The refresher hours obtained to maintain a Willems law certification with Febelfin Academy will allow to maintain an EFPA certification.
